Hey folks, we are less than a week away from our Annual Membership meeting.

Who: You.  Hopefully a Woolly club member, but even if you aren’t a current member, we would still love to have you.

When: Thursday November 9th, 2017 – 6:45pm

Where: CyclovaXC (112 N Washington St, St Croix Falls, WI 54024)

What:

We have four primary goals for the meeting.

  1. Food and Fellowship – That’s right, you come and we will feed you.  The current Woolly Board and a few of our most active members are bringing chili, fixings, cornbread, taco soup, bread, bars, veggies, etc.  And we will have Cup Cakes from Woolly Sponsor Mama T’s Sweet Treats.
  2. Board Elections – All current Woolly members are welcome to vote on the next Woolly Board.  These are the folks that will spend the next year or two helping to steer the Woolly Bike Club to even greater things.  You can preview the ballot HERE.  And remember, if you are a current member and can not attend the meeting, send Dallas an email (woollybikeclub@gmail.com) with your vote, or get a snail mail letter to our PO box (see the Contact Us page) by Thursday.
  3. Woolly Past Present and Future – Current Chair Matt is going to give a presentation about the history of the Woolly, a review of this past year, and then we will have a open forum where all in attendance are encouraged to share their hopes and dreams for the Woolly.
  4. 2018 Fatbike Tech– Steve Hamlin from CyclovaXC (and the ballot) will be giving a presentation on the new 2018 fatbikes from Trek.  I’m not sure if you have noticed, but it has been looking very winter like outside lately.  Now is a great time to learn about fat bikes and be ready to join the group rides on Wednesday evening.

Also, the Woolly has a storefront open right now for a long sleeve jersey (LINK, password is “winter”).  We will have a sizing kit available to help you get into the right size.

Why:

Say, did I mention prizes too?  I think I did.  One lucky attendee of the meeting will win one of those sweet long sleeve jerseys.  They feel like they are made from unicorn fur… seriously, that is how they are marketed (SEE).  So not only do you get to come hang out with cool Woolly people, eat some good food, participate in the future of mountain biking in St. Croix Falls, you have a chance to will some sweet Woolly Gear.

So I sincerely hope to see a whole bunch of you this Thursday.

-Ben
