Hey folks.  Lots to cover here.  Let's get to it.

Trails Still Closed (4/19/2019)

Yeah, what I suppose 98% of you want to know... are the trails open yet?  Sadly no.  The good news is that we are getting close.  Today an awesome set of volunteers got out and cleaned and assessed the ENTIRE trail system.  Leaves blown off, sticks picked up, chainsaw requiring dead fall identified, etc.

We've got some stretches of trail that are close, but plenty that still need some time to dry out.  So this amazing weather has probably got you jonesing to get out and ride, but unfortunately we need it to just dry the trails out.

Don't hold us to it, but we are optimistic that they will be open NEXT weekend.

Remember... the trails looked like this just 5 days ago...

Woolly Race Updates!

In just over two short weeks we kick off the MN Mountain Bike Series with the Woolly Race on Sunday May 5th.

We are super stoked to have Cyclova XC back as the title sponsor again this year.  So even if you can't ride this weekend, head on over there and get your bike ready.  Or, get a new bike.  Be sure to check out all of our other amazing sponsors as well.  You'll be seeing more from us on them in the coming days and weeks.

Be sure to head over to the Minnesota Mountain Bike Series page to get registered today.

Courses will be similar to the past few years, but will be incorporating some of the new single track we built last year after the race.  There will still be ample opportunities to pass, but we think you'll like the new trail as well.   Stay tuned for the final announcements.

Race Volunteers

Say, that race we just mentioned?  We still need help putting it on.  It takes a lot of people to make this race happen.  We need people to do anything from help at registration, monitor road crossings, and help at aid stations.  Sign up solo, or better yet, bring a friend.  If you can contribute 4 hours, you get one of the always coveted Woolly Race shirts.

Interested?  Send an email to race@woollybikeclub.com and we will get you signed up.

Gandy Clean-up Event

The Friends of the Gandy group is hosting a clean-up part starting from the Woolly Trailhead at 9am on Earth Day Saturday April 27th.  You will find some active Woolly members pitching in there and we would love to see you as well.

Check out their Facebook event for more information.
