Woolly Mission Statement
Woolly Bike Club exists to grow mountain biking in the St. Croix River Valley through advocacy, community, events, and an ever expanding sustainable network of maintained trails.
Woolly History
The Woolly Bike Club (W/B/C) was founded by a small group of passionate riders in the Taylors Falls/ St. Croix Falls area back in 2007. Taking place in the St. Croix River Valley, near parts of the historic "Ice Age Trail", the Woolly found its unique yet fitting name. From day one, the Woolly Race was envisioned to be a grass-roots event where the trail riding, competition, and good times were the focus. Today that is still the goal, with a number of events year round including our race which is a part of the Minnesota Race series. Our goals are to expand our trail network, in a responsible sustainable way and to grow the mountain biking culture in one of the closest, most scenic area's to the Twin Cities. All proceeds from our annual event go either back into growing the event or towards other worthy mountain biking causes (IMBA, CAMBA, MORC etc.). Our hope is that the St. Croix Falls area becomes equally known for its mountain biking as it is for its camping, hiking, canoeing and day trips. We could not pull off our events if it were not for the many volunteer hours, so thanks to all of you who have helped out in the past. If you want to get involved, contact us either here or on Facebook.
