Hey out there in Woolly Land! We thought we’d fire up the stoke machine and get you brought up to speed on Woolly Race 2018 weekend. We’ve got a bunch of great stuff going on.
Saturday – Pre-ride and Woolly Wander
The weather is turning around nicely. Right now the forecast looks like we may get a few sprinkles over night that would actual tack the trails up really nicely. So, we should be good to go for both pre-riding and the Woolly Wander. If anything changes stay tuned to all the social media channels and we will keep you up to date.
So bring the bikes and family up. Check out our all ages friendly scavenger hunt from 10-2. Stop by the trailhead in that window to get your Woolly Wander sheet and go find the check points out on the trail in town. Everyone has a chance at CASH PRIZES! We are giving away $200 for the Wander so you don’t want to miss it.

Pre-Ride Note Of Importance
As your are out pre-riding, please avoid riding on the soccer fields where the start/finish area is (or more accurately will be after soccer is done). There are games and practice going on all day on Saturday. Trust us, you’ll be able to figure it out on Sunday without the need to ride the pancake flat loop around the field. As you are riding the course you can just hop on the driveway and cut through the parking lot to the entrance to West Ridge.

Sweet New Single Track
Yeah, you heard that right. Our dirt crew busted out about 200 yards of sweet new trail on Wednesday night. You will hit this new stretch right before crossing over the Gandy Dancer into the Wissahickon North trail segment. This was the first step in our initiative to “Get Off the Gandy” this summer. By next fat bike season we plan to be riding 100% groomed single track and not sharing the Gandy with snowmobiles. Hit us up if you want to pitch in on dirt work.
Of course sweet new single track isn’t great if the rest of the trails are in poor shape. Thursday evening another dedicated crew of volunteers spruced up the rest of the trails. It should be primo all weekend long.
Sunday – Forget Anything?
